Comments
When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymised string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be provided to Gravatar to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside it.
Media
Place your image in memory so that you can be displayed on screen. If you upload images to the website, avoid images containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images from the website and extract any location data from them.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to enter your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days and display preference cookies for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login persists for two weeks. Login cookies are removed when you log out.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply records the ID of the post you edited. It expires after one day.
